Small Scale Revival is about practical farming, ecological design, and building resilient farms and communities.
We share real-world approaches to producing food, managing land, and building viable small-scale farm businesses. Our work draws from regenerative agriculture, holistic land management, and hands-on experience operating a diversified farm.
Through consulting, education, on-farm training, and practical resources, we help farmers and landowners make better decisions about their land and business. We believe rural stewardship is paramount to a healthy community and this work is centered around working with engaged farm owners and landowners seeking to do right by their place.
The goal is to build the skills, knowledge, and practical capacity to create productive farms, healthy landscapes, and stronger local food systems.

Noah East
Noah is a farmer, writer, and educator based in Western North Carolina, where he has lived and worked for more than a decade.
His career has centered on working with land. He began in field biology and forestry before moving into farm management and ecological land design. Those experiences eventually came together through farming.
Noah is part of the leadership team at Wild East Farm in Marion, North Carolina. The farm brings together annual crops, livestock, poultry, and perennial systems, with an emphasis on practical production and sound economics.
Through Small Scale Revival, Noah works with farmers and landowners who are developing farms of their own. His work focuses on how a farm fits together as a functioning whole, from the land itself through production and business operations.
He also writes and teaches about farming and land management, drawing heavily from the experience of building and operating a working farm.
After more than a decade in Western North Carolina, Noah remains deeply invested in the region and its agricultural community.
Consulting and Design
We help farmers and landowners plan farms that work in practice. Our work covers the decisions involved in developing a farm, from its overall design and business model through the production systems and people needed to operate it.
Speaking & Media
Noah speaks and teaches from his experience working directly with farms and landscapes. His work has been featured on farming podcasts and in national publications, and he brings that practical experience to audiences through talks and workshops.
